The Rock & Roll Library (RRL) is launching its first Membership Drive right
now. As a nonprofit, 501(c)3 organization, our programs rely entirely on the
generosity of rock and roll fans and supporters. RRL is in need of your
contributions to support our growth.
As a member you would:
-
Be rewarded with RRL's popular merchandise.
-
Become an integral part of an internationally recognized music force. The Rock
& Roll Library received international recognition through its inclusion in
Japanese Public Television's documentary "Imagine: Song of the Millennium."
JPTV traveled to Boston on March 7, 2002 in order to film the three Imagine
murals created through the RRL's community outreach program in 2001. The
documentary also features interviews with RRL Executive Director Anne
Fitzpatrick, Yoko Ono and Sean Lennon.
-
Help make Music Archive Database an Internet sensation and a comprehensive
source for music information. You will be able to search for your favorite band
or artist and find detailed information including all the albums, songs, tours,
band lineups, photos, articles, books, and movies - just about anything you
could possibly imagine. You can see a preview of this definitive service right
now if you click on "LIBRARY." It is the contributions of future members like
yourself that will make this database come alive and become an authority on all
that is rock music.
-
Support our educational outreach programs. As you've seen here at
Rocklibrary.com, last year's Song Lesson Plan contest challenged teachers to
submit lesson plans based on the song "Scarecrow" by Melissa Etheridge and
rewarded the winner with a visit from the Melissa in April 2002.
The programs of the Rock & Roll Library are in need of strong membership
support and funding. Please join now!
